Description of Strasbourg board game
Strasbourg, the 15th century: The political fortunes of the city are powerfully influenced by the craft guilds which occasionally occupy the majority of seats on the city council.
You take on the roles of the ambitious families of the city in this era. Your goal is to get your own family members admitted to the guilds. Only the clever use of influence points will enable you to be accepted as an apprentice, journeyman, or even master - provided that you have the money for the appropriate entrance fees on hand. But never underestimate the power of the nobility and the Church!
Strasborg is an easily-learned stategy game with original mechanics that give the players wide freedom of choice. Only the player who never takes his eyes off his competitors' plans will earn the greatest prestige at the end.
